Task 1 Let's read the new words and the phrases.

(1)根据汉语意思完成下列句子,每空一词。
①——那边的那辆自行车你买了多长时间了?——我买了三年了。
— How long have you had that bike over there

②——他的儿子拥有这套轨道火车多长时间了?
——自他四岁生日起,他就拥有了它。

【辨析】since 和 for
since 后接一个“过去时间点”的短语或从句(过去时),也可以接“一段时间+ago”,常用于完成时态。如:
I have been here since 1990.1990年起,我就一直在这儿。
I have been here since five years ago.自从5年前,我已经在这儿了。
It's two years since I became an English teacher.我成为英语老师已经两年了。
for后可接时间段,用来说明动作或状态持续的时间,因此句中的谓语动词也应该是延续性动词。“for+时间段”也通常为完成时态的标志。如:
I have learnt English for about three years.我学英语有三年了。
含有for,since的现在完成时的用法歌诀:
过去的动作或状态,一直持续到现在,for、since把时间带。
