C Story time
I. Teaching aims
1. Ss get more familiar with the sentence patterns: Where are you Under the… In the …
2. Ss will be able to understand the word table/bed and the sentences: let’s play hide and seek. Are you ready I can’t find you. I’m behind you!
3. Ss will be able to understand the story and read it fluently.
4. Ss will be able to act out the story.
II. Teaching important points
1. Ss will be able to get more familiar with the sentence patterns: Where are you Under the… In the …
2. Ss will be able to understand and read the story.
III. Teaching difficult points
1. Ss may have difficulty in understanding the sentence: let’s play hide and seek.
2. Ss may have difficulty in acting the story out.
IV. Students’condition
Grade 3 students usually are between age of 9 to 10, they are usually playful but with little English-learning experience. They are not fluent in English, Some even don't dare to speak. It's quintessential to appreciate their progress and develop their interest in learning english by encouraging them to speak confidently, practice actively and sing loudly.
本课的教学对象是三年级学生,此阶段学生天真活泼,好奇心强,有较强的模仿能力和求知欲望,而且富有一定的逻辑思维能力,对英语的喜欢已初步体现出个性。但在单词的学习过程中,还是较容易出现发音不到位或发音不准确的语音错误。

活动1【导入】Step I．Warm up & Revision
1. Greetings.(拉近师生距离)
2. Play a game : I say you do.(利用TPR游戏进行热身)
The teacher uses the game to review the words: in, on, under.
3. PPT:Where is Zip Zip is behind the desk. Teach the new word “behind”,then ask one student come to the front and say “I’m behind you ”.
4.Where is Zoom On the desk In the toy box Yes, Zoom is in the toy box.
There are many toys in it. It’s a bed. Teach the new word “bed”.
But where is Zip Zip Zip, where are you I can’t find you. Here here. I’m here.
Zip is behind the blackboard.
活动2【讲授】Step II．Presentation
1. Present Zip’s room.
T: What’s in Zip’s room Ss: A bed/toy box/table.
Teach the new word“table”. (区分table 和desk)
2. Guess: What game is it
Watch the song, students sing and play. Teach: Hide and seek.
3. Listen to the first part of the story with PPT and try to imitate.
Zip: Let’s play hide and seek
Zoom: Great.
Zoom: 1,2,3…10.Are you ready
Zip: Yes!
4. Guess: Where is Zip going to hide In/On/Under the ___
Then continue to guess: Where does Zoom go
5. Listen to the second part of the story with PPT and try to imitate.
Zoom: Where are you Under the table Under the bed In the toy box
6. Where is Zip Zip is behind Zoom.
Listen to the second part of the story with PPT and try to imitate.
Zoom: Where are you I can’t find you.
Zip:Haha! I’m behind you!
活动3【活动】Step III． Practice& Consolidation
1. Watch and follow to repeat the whole story.(小组内朗读课文)
2. Read the story for yourself and then order the pictures.
3. Act the story.(表演故事)
A. Give a model
The teacher shows the students how to act the story.
(设计说明):通过教师示范,指导学生如何根据故事内容扮演角色。
B. Talk in groups
The students try to act the story in groups.
4. Now it’s Zoom’s turn to hide . Where will he hide

1. Try to retell the whole story according to the picture.
2. Play hide and seek with your parents or your friends.
