two week是合成形容词, 这种合成形容词的特点是中间要用连字符连接, 名词用单数, 数词用基数词。
eg：Last month, Jack had a three-day holiday.上个月杰克休了一个三天的假期。
Language Points
2.When we began these lessons, all I knew was that movies and plays are fun to watch. 开始上这些课程时,我所知道的一切就是看电影和戏剧是有趣的事。
when引导时间状语从句; I knew是all的定语从句, 省略了引导词that; that movies and plays are fun to watch 是表语从句。
fun在本句中用作名词, 意思是“有趣的人(物);逗人乐(或令人兴奋)的行动(话语)”。
eg：Jack is fun, we all like him very much. 杰克是个很有趣的人,我们都非常喜欢他。
Picnics are fun. 野餐是趣事。
It is great fun for us to play basketball together. 我们一起打篮球很有趣。
3. It can take hundreds of people to make a movie or put on a play. 拍一部电影或演一出戏可能需要数百人。
It takes/took (sb.) ......to do...... “做......花费/需要......”
eg：It takes many hands to make a movie. 拍一部电影需要很多人手。
The project takes a lot of doing. 这项工程需要很大力气。
The word takes an accent on the last syllable. 这个词的最后一个音节需要重读。
put on “上演, 穿上”
eg：They will put on a new play. 他们将上演一部新戏剧。
It's cold outside. Please put on your coat.外面很冷, 请穿上你的外套。
[注意] “put on”当“上演”讲时, 是瞬间动词, 不能和现在完成时加时间段连用。
表示电影开演了多长时间了, 用“be on”
4.We seldom think about the people who work behind the scenes. 我们很少考虑在幕后工作的人。
seldom的意思是“不常,很少,难得”。
[注意] 含有seldom的句子属于否定句,构成反意疑问句时, 疑问短句部分要用肯定形式。
eg：He seldom helps his mother do the housework,does he 他很少帮妈妈做家务, 对吧？
seldom 置于句首时,句子要部分倒装。
eg：Seldom have I watched such beautiful flowers. 我很少看到如此漂亮的花。
5. Their movie made the whole class laugh.他们的电影让全班大笑起来。
whole adj. “全部的, 完整的”
all 和whole都可以表示“整个”的概念
[注意]限定词位于all之后, whole之前。
Tom spent all the winter in London. (=Tom spent the whole winter in London. )汤姆在伦敦度过了整个冬天。
He ate all the cake. (=He ate the whole cake. )
他吃了整个蛋糕。
6. My group performed a play called The Fisherman and the Goldfish. 我的小组表演了一个叫作《渔夫和金鱼》的短剧。
called 是过去分词形式, 作play的定语, 相当于定语从句 “which was called”
eg：I know a boy named Jack. = I know a boy who is named Jack. 我认识一个叫杰克的男孩。
