① 倚,碰,撞 The teacher’s desk is against the wall.
②反对,强烈反对用 be strongly against 赞成,,支持be for

16.when 从属连词 “当……时候”,引导时间状语从句。
while 从属连词 “当……时候”,引导时间状语从句。二者有区别:。
从句谓语动词的延 续 性 When从句后的动词可以是延续性动词,也可是非延续性的
While从句动词只能是延续性的动词
主从句动作发生的先 后 顺 序 When从句动作可发生在主句动作前、后或同时,用过去时
While从句的动作与主句动作同时发生,多用进行时

① by the way 顺便问一下
② in the/one’s way 挡路,妨碍
in a way 在某种程度上
③ on the/one’s way to 在(某人)去……的路上
④ lose one’s way 迷路
⑤ make one’s way to 前往某地,向某地前进
⑥ It’s the best way to do sth. 做某事的最好办法。

rest n. & v. 休息 have a rest 休息一下
pron & n. 剩余,其余
the rest of + 名词/代词 作主语时谓语动词要和of 后的名词保持一致。
Tom is from England and the rest of us are from China .
the rest 做主语时,若替代的名词是可数名词复数,动词用复数,若替代可数名词单数或不可数名词时动词用单数形式。
I took two apples , the rest were yours .

四、过去进行时态
* 构成形式: 助动词was/were + doing (现在分词)
* 各种句式: ① 肯定句:主语+ was/were + doing +其他
② 否定句:主语+ was /were not + doing +其他
③一般疑问句:Was/Were +主语+doing +其他?
肯定回答: Yes, 主语 + was /were .
否定回答: No , 主语 + wasn’t/weren’t .
④特殊疑问句:特殊疑问词+was/were+主语+doing+其他?
The students were drawing pictures at five yesterday afternoon .(肯定句)
The students weren’t drawing pictures at five yesterday afternoon .(否定句)
Were the students drawing pictures at five yesterday afternoon (一般疑问句)
What were the students doing at five yesterday afternoon (特殊疑问句)
语法
*常用的时间状语:
① then 在那时 ② at that time 当时
③钟点+过去时间at five yesterday morning 昨天上午五点
④at this time /at that time + 过去时间
at this time last year . 去年的这个时候。
⑤ 表示过去的某段时间 yesterday afternoon,the whole morning
* 过去进行时态的用法:
表示过去某个具体时刻或某一段时间内正在进行或发生的动作
I was having dinner at eight yesterday evening .
Was Tom reading a book all the morning
