Teaching objectives:
Through discussing and performing, the Ss will be able to:

1.Pre-task(5 minutes)
Lead-in
T: If you have a chance to choose where to live, where would you like to live
S1: I’d like to live in Beijing.
S2: I’d like to live in Shanghai.
S3: I’d like to live in...........
Purpose: To arouse the Ss’ interest in the topic “Dream homes”.
2. While-task (25 minutes)
T: Look at the picture, can you tell me what it is
Ss: It’s Tiananmen Square.
T: Yes. Where is it
Ss: It’s in China.
T: Yeah, wonderful! Let’s look at some more pictures and guess where the places of interest are.
Purpose: To arouse the Ss’ interest in the topic “Dream homes”.
T: Now, we’ve known some places of interest in countries. What are these countries’ capitals
S1: The capital of China is Beijing.
S2: The capital of the USA is Washington. DC.
S3: The capital of the UK is London.
S4: The capital of Japan is Tokyo.

T: How excellent you are! Would you like to live in…… What about Eddie and Hobo Listen to the tape-recorder and find the answer to the following question.
Question: Where would Eddie like to live
Ss: He’d like to live next to a restaurant.
T: Please read the dialogue after the tape-recorder. Then practice reading it in pairs.
Purpose: To make Ss read the dialogue freely & understand it better.
T: Ok. Close your books and try to complete the dialogue on your own.

Teaching reflections:
The Ss dare not to express their ideas freely because they are lack of certain vocabulary. Besides, some Ss can’t write a complete sentence. Anyway, they try their best to cooperate with me and we enjoy our lesson well. As for myself, I should improve my teaching skills to make Ss more interested in my lessons. What’s more, I ought to encourage the Ss to speak English as much as possible.
