The person from my junior high school days that I will never forget is Mrs. Wang, my English teacher in Grade 7.
When I first started Grade 7, I was shy and did not dare to speak English to others. My English was not good and I felt quite unhappy with myself. One day Mrs. Wong spoke to me after class. She told me that
she believed I could speak well if I practiced more. I was touched by what she said and worked harder on my speaking skills. Mrs. Wong continued to encourage me and I became more and more confident. I improved so much that I even won an English speech contest that year!
I will always be grateful to Mrs. Wong for her advice and support.
