Teaching material analysis(教材分析) The topic of module 2 is one’s experience.This unit is about travel experiences and competition experiences.Lingling is entering a speaking competition, the prize of which is her dream holiday and she wants to win the prize. She suggests Tony should take part in a writing competition to win Around the World in 80 Days.Tony misunderstands the prize and believes it’s a trip ,but Lingling told him it was just a book.
Students Analysis(学情分析) The students in my class have the travel experiences and competition experiences , so they will be happy to talk about their travel experiences of Hangzhou and Shanghai. The problem is they didn’t know the useful expressions and the present perfect tense.
Teaching objectives(教学目标) After this class, student are able to achieve:--Knowledge objectives1.To be able to know the words and expressions about experiences.2.To know the usage of present perfect tense.
--Ability objectives1.To talk about one’s travel experience with present perfect tense freely.2.To be able to write a short passage of one’s experience..
--Affective objectives1.Try to enter the speaking competition or the writing competition to show themselves.2. Pay attention to the importance of travel experiences and shape oneself.

1min Step1 Lead-in Show the topic of experiences and ask the types of it. Think about the topic and answer the question.
Teaching intention: lead the topic in and let students think about the types of experiences.
3mins Step2 New words Show students’ travel photos on the screen and talk about their trip. Look at the picture and use the new words to describe the trip.
Teaching intention: use the pictures to make the words teaching interesting , when students are talking about their travel experience , they use the new words unconsciously.
2mins Step3 Listening Play the tape and show the tasks on the screen.Lingling has visited / hasn't ever visited the US.2.Lingling has travelled / hasn't travelled by plane. listen to the tape and number.Listen again and underline.
Teaching intention: let students know the information of Lingling’s travel experiences,and know the present perfect tense for the first time.
4mins Step4listening Play the tape and let students do tasks. Listen to the tape and finish the tasks.Task 1 listen and answer.Task 2 listen and choose.
Teaching intention: let students know the main idea of the conversation and improve their listening skill of grasping the key words.
10mins Step5 Reading&speaking 1.Let students watch the video and answer questions.Q1: What’s the prize of the speaking competition Q2: What’s the prize of the writing competition 2.let students read in different groups.3.Show the sentences on the screen and let students read the conversation in silence,then find whether the sentences are true or not.4.let students ask and answer in pairs and practise the dialogue.Eg:S1: Has Lingling won any prizes S2:No, she hasn’t5.Let students play a game and check whether they have known lingling and Tony’s competition experience or not. Watch the video, then answer the questions.2.Boys play the role of Tony, girls play the role of Lingling.3.Read the conversation in silence, then choose true or falseWork in pairs and practise the dialogue.Play the game.
Teaching intention: Use the information in the table to practise the dialogue , from the repetition students will get familiar with the usage of present perfect tense .At last ,the game will make the class interesting and exciting , at the same time ,teacher will use the game to check students study level.
2min Step6Summary Show the mind map on the screen. Make students to retell the conversation . Look at the mind map, retell the conversation by answering teacher’s questions.
Teaching intention: let students to retell lingling and Tony’s competition experiences, as well as review today’s topic , lead today’s task in .
17mins Step7Show time Let students choose to enter the speaking competition or the writing competition ,then show their speeches or writing 1.Choose to enter the speaking competition or the writing competition. 2.Show their speeches3.Show their writing.
Teaching intention: Give students the chance to show themselves and let them use present perfect tense unconsciously.
1mins Step8Homework Assign the homework. Students listen to teacher about the homework.
