教学内容 The topic of this unit is “Finding your way”. In this period, we will learn directions and the transport. Students may know the directions of related places and choose the right transport. Also, we will lead students to talk about how to plan a trip.
教学对象 The seventh grade students have not learned words of directions. They will be given maps to feel directions and talk about how to get to the specified location. They can learn more words and share more opinions by exchanging the information they have got.
教学目标 1.To introduce the topic of directions and transport. 2.To talk about how to plan a trip.
教学策略 1. Use pictures to help them learn different directions and transport. 2. Consolidate different directions by having dialogues about describing places. 3. Improve spoken English by free talk about a trip.

Show the map of China to describe where the provinces are. The teacher says: The students will have a trip. 1. Find the places they plan to visit after listening. 2. Talk about the transport to school. 1.Learn the new words on P42-43. 2. Group Work: List the places they want to go and the transport. Students watch the pictures and share the answers together. Learn to describe the directions in our daily life. Listen and fill in the boxes in Part A. Talk about in pairs. Warm their brains and let them know we will learn how to get to the destination. Use pictures to arouse the interest of learning and learn directions quickly. Consolidate how to describe directions. Train the skills of listening. Encourage students to take the chance to practice spoken English practice

Can Eddie go down the hill 3. What does the sign say Let Ss practice the dialogue and act it out. Group work: Make a dialogue about how to get to your home. Give Ss 8 min to do Ex in study paper. Check the answers. 1. Read the dialogues. 2. Complete the exercises in your workbook. 3. Preview reading. Take an active part in the class activity and practice speaking English. Watch the cartoons carefully and answer the questions. Read the dialogue and try to act it out in pairs. Discuss in groups. Finish the Ex. in time speaking skills. As a seventh grade student, we should give them enough time to practice reading English and give them more chances to act out the dialogue. To make students think more about describing how to get to a place. Consolidate the knowledge they have learned.
