Step 1 Revision 1. Let the students make some sentences like structures in last class. 2. Check the homework. If necessary give students some help. Step 2 Presentation 1. Free talk about the story Alice in Wonderland or show the pictures to present the new words and expressions: sweet become enough decide enter towards forget reach climb fail 2. Read the passage. T: Sandy is interested in Alice in Wonderland. Please read the next part and answer the questions: 1) What did Alice see on the table 2) What does the note on the bottle say 3) What happened to Alice after she drank the water in the bottle 4) Did Alice enter the garden Why 5) Why couldn’t Alice reach the key on the table 6) What did she see under the table 7) What does the note on the box say 3. Listen and put the following into correct order. a. Alice saw a piece of cake under the table. b. Alice was too small to reach the key. c. Alice felt a little ill. d. Alice failed to climb up the table. e. Alice saw a little bottle on the table. f. Alice opened the bottle and drank a little. g. Alice became smaller and smaller. Step 3 Discussion 1.
