【拓展】believe sb. “相信某人(所说的话）”,believe 是“相信”的意思,针对某件具体的事情,强调的是相信事情的真实性,或者强调某人说的话的真实性,总的就是客观地针对事情而言的。

【辨析】voice, sound与noise

(2)sound作名词时，意为“声音”，通知自然界的声音。作动词时，意为“听起来”，是系动词，通常接形容词作表语。类似的单词有look, smell, taste, feel等。sound like意为“听起来像”。如：
She heard the sound of footsteps outside. 她听见外面有脚步声。
(3)noise指的是人们不愿听到的“噪声”，其形容词形式是noisy。
