英语中很多习惯用语不使用冠词，如：go to school上学；in hospital生病住院。若加冠词则表示特定的意思，如：go to the school去学校；in the hospital在医院里。
2.It's time for Li Ming to present his report. 到李明展示他的报告的时间了
It's time for sb. to do sth. 意为“到某人做某事的时间了冶。It'stime for sth. / doing sth. 和It's time to do sth. 都意为“到做某事的时间了",它们可以互换。
It's time to have lunch.到吃午餐的时间了。
It's time for me to go to my home.到我回家的时候了。
It's time to tell him the truth.是告诉他实情的时候了。
3.I'll try to improve. 我将尽力提高。
try to do sth. 表示“努力或企图做某事",强调付出一定的努力要设法完成。
Try hard to win success.努力争取成功。
I am trying to learn English. I read many books and listen to the tapes.
我努力学习英语。我读了很多书,又听了一些英语磁带。
(1)try to do sth. “努力去做某事",是真心的想把它办成、做好。
I tried to get success in English competition but I failed.
我尽力想在英语竞赛中取得成功,但我失败了。
(2)try doing sth. 表示“试着做某事",具有“尝试;试验"的意味,不一定付出很大努力。
I tried singing but didn't succeed. 我试着唱歌,但未成功。

(1)practice在句中作名词。in practice在实践中，实际上；into practice实施，实行。
例子：Learning a language needs a lot of practice. 学习一门语言需要多多练习。
(2)practice还可作动词，后跟名词或动名词形式。
例子：Yang Jia practices playing the piano
every morning.
