Step 1 Consolidate new words
Look and say. The teacher shows the pictures of new words and let the students to say as quickly as possible.

square kilometre, 表示“平方公里”。例如:

pull sth. off … 表示“从…...拉下...…”。例如:

wish 表示“希望,祝愿”
hope & wish
hope和wish两者都表示“希望”,其后都可接动词不定式作宾语,即hope / wish to do sth.,但它们也有很多不同点:
◆wish后可接双宾语表示祝愿,即wish+sb.+sth., 而hope则不能。如:
I wish you a happy time.
◆wish后可接动词不定式作宾语补足语,即wish sb. to do sth.,而hope不能。如: Jim wishes Linda to sing an English song.
◆在简略句中,表示希望某事发生,用I hope so;表示希望某事不会发生,用I hope not,而wish无此用法。如:
—Will it be OK
—I hope so. / I hope not.

Choose the most important or interesting facts about Zhangjiajie and write a passage about it.
Zhangjiajie is about 480 kilometres. It is about 400 kilometres from Changsha. Everyone loves its many unusual mountain, rivers and forests. There are a lot of different plants and animals there too. Zhangjiajie is popular with people because of the shape of its tall rocks, and its beautiful sights. Visitors can stay in hotels or tents in the park.
