2. Learn to use “be + doing”
能力目标：１. Learn to talk about the things that are happening now
2. Learn to find some useful information from the passage by skimming and scanning
3. Learn to predict the passage according to the pictures.
情感目标：1. Learn the time zones in different countries.
2. Learn the traditional festival in China.
3. Have Ss love their family.
教学重难点：通过语言目标的学习，学会谈论正在发生的事；并利用上述的阅读策略来处理篇章结构。
教法和学法：采用情境法、交际法和“任务型”教学途径，使“英语学习任务化，学习活动生活化”。
教学过程：
Step 1: Leading-in
Enjoy a video about the Dragon Boat Festival.
After watching it, T asks : what does the video talk about / What are they doing in the video
To present : dragon boat race the Dragon Boat Festival delicious etc.
To expand the words and information by asking “ what else can we do on that day and what
festivals do you know in the western countries”
Ask Ss “ if you are in the US on the Dragon Boat Festival, how will you feel ” to present Zhu
Hui and his family.and go into the reading.
Step 2: While-reading
Task1: Read the first and second part of the report carefully and fill in the chart.

Task 2 Match A with B, then make sentences like model
Zhou Hui is living with a family in the US.
Task 3 Discuss time zones

Q2: What’s the main idea of the second paragraph

Make a conversation
Suppose(假设) you’re his cousin, make a conversation between Zhu Hui and you.
