二、教学内容分析
本单元以“环境”为话题,以环境问题和保护环境为主线展开。阅读 (Reading) 板块以两个最严重的环境问题温室效应和砍伐森林展开,同时提到造成这些环境的主要原因是人类活动,最后呼吁我们从自身做起保护环境;在听力 (Listening) 板块是一则广播节目,主要是关于城市的两个环境问题:垃圾问题和噪音问题,并且给出解决方案,这里需要掌握整体理解和获取和记录关键信息的听力技能;在语法 (Grammar) 板块,复习巩固“the same”, “different”,“the same as”等的用法,并且学会在语境中使用;在口语 (Speaking) 板块(Talk
time) 部分学习表达担忧的表达方式,然后在会话 (Speak up) 部分继续讨论你所在城市的环境问题并且讨论可能的解决办法;在写作 (Writing) 板块根据所给图片和文字提示,讲述 Gary Green 环保的一天是在哪些方面做到了绿色低碳环保的,同时可以思考更多的环保行为;在补充阅读 (More practice) 板块补充阅读一只塑料瓶的经历,思考塑料污染以及我们可以如何回收利用塑料制品废弃物;在文化角 (Cultural corner) 板块提到了碳足迹的概念,同时发出每个人都应该尽量减少自己碳足迹的倡议念;在学习技巧 (Study Skills) 板块是一个关于环保的问卷调查。
本课时作为本单元的第一课时,通过介绍各种环境问题以及我们的解决办法串联各个板块的知识,介绍 Reading,More practice,Cultural corner 等部分提到的环境问题和概念,教授 Reading 部分出现的一些重要词汇,以及拓展和环境相关的重要词汇,为 Reading 课时做铺垫。
三、学情分析
本节课面向广州市九年级的学生,这一阶段的学生经历了两年的初中英语学习,有一定的语言基础。此外,对于环境问题,在七年级和八年级都已经有所涉及,所以同学们对这个话题应该不陌生,因此本课旨在探讨保护环境的广度,让同学们思考保护环境的宏观和微观角度,树立正确的环保意识。

语言能力 掌握本单元中的话题词汇和相关高频词汇,如:greenhouse effect, sea level, recycle,
green 等。同时了解环境问题更多的词汇表达和相关概念。
学习能力 通过了解各种环境问题思考造成环境问题的原因,同时思考对应的措施。
思维品质 从不同的角度理解环境问题背后的深层原因,在提问和讨论中学会独立思考和批判性思维。
文化品格 学会更多的绿色低碳环保知识,树立环保从我做起,从小事做起的环保意识。

六、教学理念
根据新课程标准,单元是承载主题意义的基本单位,单元教学目标是总体目标的有机组成部分。单元教学目标是以发展英语学科核心素养为宗旨,围绕主题语境整体设计学习活动。本节课主要是基于主题意义进行单元整体教学的设计,以学生对于主题意义的理解和学习能力的发展为主线,设计各种激发同学们兴趣和思考的关联学习活动,旨在向学生介绍本单元的话题。由于这是一节词汇学习和阅读引入课,我想在广度上挖掘更多的可能性,因此我想从文章的温室效应出发,引发出同学们对更多环境问题的思考,了解更多环境问题背后的原因,同时本节课的情感目标重点是使同学们树立环保意识,包括宏观层面,以及微观上从日常生活上每天学会环保和低碳,同时,在更多情景中让同学们了解和掌握宇环保密切相关的高频词汇,包括本单元的高频词汇如 greenhouse effect, sea level 等,同时也会大量拓展和环境问题相关的词汇比如 global warming ,climate change, glacier melting 等。希望有相对足够的输入和相关的知识储备扫除本单元接下来的阅读障碍,让学生在听说和写作部分有更多的表达和词汇输出。
