中考英语热点话题—劳动课程
On June 3, the Ministry of Education(MOE) issued a document illustrating the revised curriculum for senior high schools across the country. According to the document, labor education is enlisted as compulsory course for senior high school students at all levels.
The labor course will take six credits —— the same as foreign language and physics. Voluntary service, as a part of labor education, would take two credits. The MOE also asks schools to ensure 40 hours of voluntary service during the full three school years.
Labor courses cover mainly household chores, productive labor and services.

Primary and secondary schools in Guangzhou will set up labor courses next term. As a student, I would like to share some advice on how to run this course.
First, the school can offer cooking and sewing classes. They will help students learn how to make meals and sew and mend clothes. Second, we can build a rooftop farm on one of the buildings. Teachers can teach us how to plant vegetables and fruits. Finally, it is important to hold household appliance repair competitions. In this way, students get to know how to maintain and repair electrical appliances.
These labor courses can not only help us learn some life skills, but also gives us a chance to form good working habits and cultivate right value of the world. What’s more, it plays an important role in promoting individual development.
