本句是询问物体颜色的常用句型，其结构为“What colour＋be动词＋名词？”当主语是可数名词单数或不可数名词时，be动词用is，回答时用“It's＋颜色”；
当主语是可数名词复数时，be动词用are，回答时用“They are＋颜色”。回答该类型问句时也可直接回答颜色。例如：
