[观察1] Today is Monday.今天星期一。
[探究]
Monday为专有名词，首字母要大写。表示“在星期一”，前面要用介词on，不与冠词连用。Monday后可接morning, afternoon, evening等，表示“在星期一的上午/下午/晚上”，其前也用介词on。

“What day is it…？”用来询问星期几，it在此指时间。回答时常用“(It's＋)星期几”。如果询问日期，则用“What's the date…？”。例如：

—Today is Tuesday./It's Tuesday. 今天是星期二。
