(1)本句是熟人见面时常用的问候语,用来询问对方的身体状况。一般用“I'm fine, thanks./Fine, thank you./I'm OK./I'm very well.”等来回答。
(2)thank you意为“谢谢你”,相当于thanks,是表达谢意的礼貌用语。当对方给予帮助、表示关心、称赞或善待我们时,我们都应表示感谢。
[拓展] 回答“Thank you./Thanks.”时,常用“That's OK./That's all right./You're welcome./Not at all.(不客气。)”等。
