文档简介

课件29张PPT。In 1816, a nineteen-year-old Englishwoman called Mary Shelley wrote a novel called Frankenstein. It told the story of a scientist who created a monster that resembled a huge human being. The novel immediately became very popular and it is generally agreed that it is one of the best science fiction stories ever written. Several films on it have been made. Boris Karloff played the monster in the 1931 film Frankenstein, as shown in the picture on this page. For the film, he is made to look very ugly, with wrinkled skin, yellow eyes and black lips. The monster is very big and very strong, and this makes him very frightening. He terrifies everyone who sees him. The 1931 film is still the most famous of all horror films. be similar to; be likecause something to existsmall fold or line in the skin
