Step1、Lead-in: Greet the students.Have free talk with the teacher to relax themselves. Have the students talk about their weekend’s plans using the pictures. Step2、 Presentation Tell the class what you’re looking forward to (for the weekend, the May Day holiday or the summer holiday)and what you’re going to do. Present the new words and phrases or expressions in this unit by PPT. Then, the students look at the pictures,and the teacher asks,“What are you going to do at the weekend ”The students will answer “I’m going to...” Phrases: watch my favourite team, meet other fans, cheer the players Step3、Reading Fast reading : Read the passage and match the people with the pictures.
