Step 3 完成教材2a-2e的任务
【操作案例】
1.学生就2a中的问题展开小组讨论,鼓励尽量多的学生说出自己对新加坡的了解。
2.学生快速浏览课文,找到课文中提到的游览新加坡的理由,回答2b中的问题。
3.学生读第二遍课文,结合课文内容找出2c句子中的错误并纠正,要请学生说出自己的答案。
4.播放录音,学生跟读课文,然后邀请学生分段进行朗读示范,教师注意纠正学生的读音。
5.学生再读一遍课文,完成2d的任务,邀请部分学生说出自己的答案,并结对进行对话练习。
6.学生关上课本,根据记忆写出关于新加坡的句子。比一比,看哪个小组记得的内容多。
设计意图:学生在阅读和完成各项任务的过程中运用了所学知识,实现语言和知识目标。

【知识点拨】
1.For thousands of tourists from China…成千上万来自中国的游客。
(1)thousand num.一千,前面可以有one,two等具体数词修饰,这时thousand后不加“ s”。
例句:There are two thousand students in our school.我们学校有两千个学生。
(2)thousand的复数形式thousands意为“数千;成千上万的”,常和介词of连用,其前不可以加表示具体数字的词修饰。
例句:There are thousands of buildings in this big city.这座大城市有成千上万的建筑。
2.On one hand,more than three quarters of the population are Chinese… On the other hand…一方面,超过四分之三的人口是中国人……另一方面……
(1)on the one hand… on the other hand… 一方面……另一方面……
例句:On the one hand,she taught English,on the other hand she learned Chinese.她一方面教英语,一方面学习汉语.
(2)quarter n.四分之一;一刻钟
a quarter=one fourth四分之一;three quarters=three fourths四分之三
“数词+quarter(s) of+名词”作主语时,若名词为复数形式,谓语动词用复数形式;若名词为单数形式或不可数名词,谓语动词用单数形式。
例句:A quarter of students go to school by bike.四分之一的学生骑车去学校。
Three quarters of food is healthy.四分之三的食物是健康的。
