【教材分析】
本单元主要是了解不同国家的基本情况:地理特征、语言文化、河流、人口、气候等。Lesson39是本单元的第三课,主要谈论的是英式英语和美式英语的不同之处,让学生尊重、接受不同国家的文化差异。
【学情分析】
对于八年级的大多数学生已经能听懂有关熟悉话题的语段和简短的对话,能与老师和同学交换相关信息。但是也有少数学生基础不够好,尤其学生对本课谈论的英式英语和美式英语区别比较陌生,所以这节对话课,尽量用PPT的呈现来引导学生,循序渐进掌握词汇和本课内容,达到整体推进,达成教学目标的实现。

(1) learn new words and phrases.
British .spell ,grammar ,translate, American, Australian ,washroom ,bathroom ,pronounce ,pronunciation, in different ways …
(2)Understand the dialogue and master key language points.
2. Ability aim:
(1)Improve the Ss' abilities of listening, speaking, reading. (2) Learn and express differences between British English and American English.
3. Emotional aim: Respect and accept different cultures.

Step2.Presentation Learn new words and phrases.1).Explain the meaming of new words and phrases through some sentences.2).Ask Ss to read words and make sure they can read words by themselves.Present some differences between B E and AE. there are differences in spelling,vocabulary ,expression,pronunciation, grammar... (板书 ) 1).Help and motivate Ss to learn new words through some sentences.2).Present Important and difficult points.
Step3.Learn the dialogue Listening (T or F)Ask Ss to close books, look at the three questions when they listen to the tape, then answer the questions.( )1. David is from the U.K. ( )2.
