Lesson47 Connected to Nature!
【整体设计思路】
本课由一组“动物录像短片 ”导入,并拓展提问引出本课主题:地球上的生物相互依存;利用“根据例句选图片”让学生感知、自主探究后再学习新单词,方法新颖有趣;单词小组赛,让学生快速熟悉新单词词性类别,图片连播和即时小练习强化学生对单词的记忆;课文的听读、速读、细读、疑点解决、课文复述和回忆游戏六个环节水到渠成地帮助学生熟悉课文;阅读后的三项练习(拓展阅读、海报制作、词汇巩固)帮助学生巩固本课所学,开阔视野,培养参与合作意识;最后,教师小结,发出号召,保护环境,保护我们的家园。
【教学背景分析】
(一)教材分析
本课选自冀教版初中英语八年级下册第八单元SAVE THE WORLD,第四十七课。本单元以保护环境为语言主线,使学生了解并学习关于环境保护的初步知识,开阔视野。通过本单元的学习,使学生认识到我们的生活方式对环境的影响;使学生了解再回收、节约能源、减少浪费和物质再利用的重要性。本课是本单元的第五课时“与大自然紧密相连”,核心内容是通过谈论星球上的所有生物都紧密相连,相互依存,号召学生保护地球。要求学生能用所学语言表述保护环境、保护地球上的生物的重要性。
(二)学情分析
本节课的教学对像是八年级学生,经过前面“打扫卫生”“环境俱乐部”“垃圾分类”等的学习和活动参与,他们对本课有强烈的学习愿望和兴趣,学习的积极性和主动性都很高,学习中有较强的合作精神,已经能够在听说中表达一些对保护环境的观点及具体做法,但在语言准确描述上仍存在一定困难,教师需在此基础上继续培养学生综合运用语言的能力。
【教学目标分析】
(一)知识与技能目标
1.帮助学生识记、理解并运用:
词汇:ant, die, dead, bee, dove, species, respect
短语:start out, live off, die off
句子:We all live on the same planet, and we depend on each other.
We should respect the earth and all the living things on it.
2.谈论原因、结果和目的。
3. 听懂关于环境问题的描述,并表达自己的观点,参与讨论。
4. 运用简单的阅读策略,通过详读或略读获取信息,并能利用所获取的信息写作。
(二)情感、态度与价值观目标
通过本课的学习,使学生了解星球上的生物间相互依存的因果关系,培养学生对大自然、对地球和地球上的生物的热爱,开阔视野,培养责任感。

【教学方法分析】
本课教学中力求活用教学方法,利用教学图片、录像、和录音等开展课堂教学活动,通过游戏激趣、自主探究、任务驱动、师生互动,让学生在轻松活跃的气氛中得到听、说、读、写四种技能的培养及提高,以期达到最佳的课堂学习效果。
【教学过程设计】
Before class: (Three minutes)
1. Greeting: Good morning, boys and girls…Glad to see you …
2. Divide the students into two groups. See which group can get more flowers. Then which group is the winner.(全班学生分两组,教师讲解课堂活动规则,学生每答对一次或表现出色,教师在黑板上给此学生所在组画一个花辨,五个花辨成一朵小花,既美观又能快速记数。)
3. A guessing game. (指导学生做“点击声音猜动物”游戏,提升兴趣。)
Step1. Pre-reading. (阅读前)( Fifteen minutes )
1. Class opening: 由“动物录像短片 ”导入,后拓展提问。( Five minutes )
T: What animals did you see Where do they live ( They live on the planet.)What do they eat ( Tigers eat meat and little animals. Kangaroos eat grass and leaves from trees.) Do trees need food and water ( Yes.) Animals and plants are all living things. Do all the living things on the planet depend on each other (Yes, all living things are connected.)
T: Today we are going to discuss how we are connected to nature. What is nature (Nature is all of the animals and plants on the earth.) How are we connected to nature (We live on the planet with nature and we eat animals and plants.) Can you give us more examples (We eat animals for food. People and animals need trees to breathe. People and animals use trees and other plants to make their homes. Animals provide people with food and clothing. Some animals eat plants to live, while others eat other animals.) So all animals and plants live off/ depend on other animals and plants in nature. (引出课文主题:地球上的生物相互依存。)
T: Now what do you think will happen when forests are cut down or when water becomes so polluted that you cannot drink it. (Animals, plants and people might die.) Yes. If the water in a lake were polluted, then the fish in that lake might die off. If all the fish died off, then all the other animals that eat those fish to live would also die off. So what can we do for nature to make sure no animals or plants die off (Recycle. Reduce. Reuse. Take care of our planet…In a word, we should protect the environment.)(正确引导:我们应该保护环境。)
2.Introduce the new words:( Seven minutes )
1)使用幻灯片中的例句、图片选择、音标、录音、释义展示单词:ant, die, dead, bee, dove, species, respect(灵感来自网络背单词软件“百词斩”,先出示一个例句和四个小图片,学生根据单词在例句中的示意,选择能表达单词意义的图片,选对后出示下一张幻灯片:此单词及其音标、图片、声音、释义。利用例句加图片让学生感知、自主探究后再学习新单词,便于学生理解,印象深刻,增加趣味性。)
2)Show pictures of the words , get the students say the words quickly. (第一次小组赛,最快说出单词的给本小组加花辨,图片快播强化学生对单词的记忆。) (One minute)
3)A word game: Who is out (二次小组赛,目的是让学生熟悉新词词性类别)( One minute)

2. Read and put these sentences in the correct order. (速读并将课文主题句排序,使学生较细致地了解文章脉络。) ( Two minutes )
3. Read carefully and answer. (细读课文并回答细节问题,帮助学生进一步熟悉课文,了解地球上的生物密切相连的原因。) ( Three minutes )
