一、语言点:
1. we’ve entered a new century. 我们已经跨入了一个新的世纪。
(1)本句时态为现在完成时。
(2)当enter表示进入一个具体处所或加入某个组织而成为其中一员时,是及物动词,后面无需加介词,如本句。
2.*What do you think will happen in the future ?你们认为将来会发生什么?
(1) 本句do you think 为插入语。
(2)本句是针对“I think + 一般将来时的宾语从句”的从句部分提问的.
(3) in the future将来, in the past 过去
3.* Perhaps people will be able to live on other planets.将来,也许人们能够居住在其他星球上。
(1) can 表示能力时,在很多场合可以与be able to 换用.但要表示过去经过一番努力才能完成的事情时,只能用be able to.
(2)be able to (do sth ):有时态变化 can(do sth ): 作情态动词,无将来时和完成式。
4.* I think so./ I don’t think so. 我也这么认为。/我不这么认为。
此两句分别用于表示同意或不同意别人的意见。
5. * Perhaps there will be no water or air on the Earth .将来,地球上可能会没有水和空气.
(1)There be 句型的将来时态。
(2)no =not a /any…本句也可改成:Perhaps there won’t be any water or air on the Earth。
(3)on earth :究竟;到底,常用来加强语气。

6. *I hope that there will be enough food for everyone .我希望每个人都会有足够的食物。
(1)hope / think 所引导的宾语从句,表达主语的想法与主意等,从句部分用一般将来时。
(2)hope to do sth 希望做某事,可与 I hope that…互换
不可写成:hope sb to do sth

in ten years’time中的years’是名词所有格,意为“10年的时间”
in ten years’time = in ten years 二十年后 当in在表示将来含义的句子时,后面跟一段时间。用how soon提问

(1)after ten years 也表示“10 年后”. after与in都表示“以后”,其区别在于:after
常用于过去时态的句子。在用于将来时态的句子时,after+某个特定时间;in+一段时间。如:They will start working after 10 a.m.他们将在上午十点以后开始工作。
They will start working in half an hour. 他们将在半小时后开始工作。
(2)can 各种形式+动词原形

A man once had a dream about the Black Forest in Germany. In his dream he was walking in the forest when two men ran out and tried to throw him to the ground. He ran as fast as he could, but they chased him. He reached a place where he saw two separated (分离的) roads in front of him. One to the right and the other to the left. Which road should he take He heard that two men were behind him, getting nearer and nearer, and at the same time he heard a voice (嗓音). It told him to go to the right, and he did so.
