Kobe Bean Bryant was born on August 23, 1978. He was an American All-Star shooting guard (得分后卫) who played for the Los Angeles Lakers of NBA. Bryant is the only son of former (前任的) Philadelphia 76ers (76人队) player and former Los Angeles Sparks head coach(教练) Joe Bryant.
When Bryant was six, his father left the NBA, moved his family to Italy, and started playing professional basketball there. Bryant learned to speak Italian. At an early age, he learned to play soccer and at first, his favorite team was AC Milan. He said that if he had stayed in Italy, he would have tried to become a professional soccer player.
In 1991, the Bryant family moved back to the United States. Bryant got national recognition (赞誉) during a surprising high school career (生涯). He could go to some famous colleges. But finally, the 17-year-old Bryant made the decision to go into the NBA.
On January 27th, 2020, Kobe was killed in a helicopter crash(直升机坠毁) in California, along with his 13-year-old daughter and 7 other people. His fans will always remember him as a man who was much more than a basketball player.
