so …that 与such… that
1. so…that引导结果状语从句
so …that句型中的so是副词，常用来修饰形容词或副词，常用句型为：
主语 + 谓语动词 +so +adv./adj.+that从句
The boy ran so fast that I couldn’t catch him.
那个男孩跑的如此快以至于我追不上他。
so …that 与such… that
2. such …that…作“如此…以致于…” 解，连接一个表示结果的状语从句。
与so…that 意思相同，但用法不同。so…that这一结构中，so后边可加形容词或副词， 而such后边要用名词（这个名词前面可以带形容词，也可以不带）。
so …that 与such… that
such＋a(an)＋adj.＋单数可数名词＋that…
He is such a clever boy that everybody likes him.
2) such＋adj.＋不可数名词+ that…
He has made such great progress that the teachers are pleased with him.
3）such＋adj.＋复数名词+that…
They are such interesting novels that I want to read.
so …that 与such… that
He had so many falls that he was black and blue all over.
他摔了很多跤，以致于全身上下青一块，紫一块的。
He had so little education that he was unfit for this job.
他所受教育很少，不适合做这个工作。
注意
如果名词前由表示量的many, much, few, little等词所修饰的话，则不用such而用so 。

so that引导目的状语从句
表示“以便；为了”，从句中常用can /could /may /might /will 等情态动词或助动词；此时可与in order that换。
Students have to work hard so that they will find good jobs.
