Step1 Presentation Please read the following sentences and pay attention to the verbs ending in the letters -ed. They turned around. “What happened “Andy asked. Andy helped me with my English. He stood beside the tree and shouted, “Help! Help!” Andy picked up the little cat. Ask students to read the sentences. When we read the verbs with -ed endings, how many ways are here to pronounce them [t] [d] [id] 3.Part A Listen to the tape and pay attention to the endings. Then read them out loud. 4.dance [s] help [p] talk [k] shop [p] 清辅音后的-ed读音为清辅音[t] 让学生总结:浊辅音和元音后的-ed读音为浊辅音[d],而[t] [d]后的-ed读音则是[ d]. 5.Let students read the words again. Let them learn the rules. Step2 Practise Part B Read and try to write [t] [d] [ d] in the blanks. Listen to the tape and check the answers. Then read the words together. Listen to the conversation carefully and pay attention to the pronunciation of the–ed endings. Read the conversation in groups of three. Step3 Activity Now, we’ll have a game, Here are some cards with different verbs with–ed endings. Each student will choose one card and put it into the correct group. We’ll see which team can finish the game quickly and correctly. Please read the words in different groups together out loud. Step4 Homework Listen to the tape and read the words in this lesson.
