Teaching aims and learning objective
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
learn more adjectives and use them to describe pets in two ways.
identify the different positions of adjectives used as attributive and predicative in a sentence.
identify and use indefinite pronouns simply through situational teaching.
learn by themselves through pair work, group work in situational activities so that they can use grammar correctly in speaking and writing.
love their pets more by describing in details.
II. Teaching contents
1. New words and phrases: anywhere, repeat, all the time
2. New sentences: Rabbits have long ears.
Rabbits’ ears are long.
A lazy cat is sleeping on the sofa.
The cat on the sofa is lazy.
I know someone/somebody in our class keeps a pet.
I know you feed your pet something to eat every day.
III. Focus of the lesson and predicted area of difficulty
1. Learn to use adjectives to describe pets in two ways.
2. Put two adjectives into correct order when describing things.
3. The position relation between adjectives and indefinite pronouns

Step 1 Greetings

Students get to know something about the pet of the teacher’s by watching a short video.

Students find the adjectives used in Lost 2 to begin today’s work.

Step 2 Presentation
1. Students guess what pets they are by listening to the record.

2. Think of more adjectives to describe pets in pictures.

3. Learn how to put two or more adjectives into correct order when describing things.
4. Students describe the pictures with their own words to practice using adjectives as attributive.
Step 3 Presentation
Look,listen and learn
Students look at the pictures or listen to music to learn the use of adjectives as predicative

Make sentences with linking verbs.

Discuss the reason why we divide linking verbs into different groups.

Step 6 Summary
Help students go over what they learned in this period with a mind map.

Students work in groups to write a lost to help pets in the pet house.
