Step 1　自主学习

Step 3　完成2a－2e的任务
【操作案例】
1．学生在小组内讨论2a中的问题，并邀请学生给出自己的答案。
2．学生快速默读短文，熟知大意，并完成课本2b中的任务。然后邀请几位同学给出自己的答案，全班一起讨论。
3．先邀请几位同学阅读短文(可一人一段)，教师要注意语音，及时纠正。然后播放录音，全班同学一起跟读。
4．完成教材2c中的任务，并邀请2～3对同学给出答案。
5．完成教材2d中的任务，要求学生将句子书写在黑板上，并当堂修订。
6．小组内讨论2e中的问题，并邀请部分学生发表自己的观点。

【知识点拨】
1．When they get older，they will have to do housework so there is no need for them to do it now.当他们长大后，他们将不得不做家务，所以现在不需要他们做。
There is no need for sb.to do sth.意为“对于某人来说，没必要做某事”。其中need用作不可数名词，意为“需要，必要”。
need作情态动词，表示“需要”或“必须”，通常用于否定句和疑问句中。
need 作实义动词，意思是“需要”，其后可跟名词，代词，动名词或动词不定式。
2．Doing chores helps to develop children's independence and teaches them how to look after themselves.做家务能帮着发展孩子们的独立性，也能教他们如何照顾自己。
(1)doing chores 动名词作主语，谓语动词用单三形式。
(2)develop此处用作及物动词，也可用作不及物动词，意为“发展，壮大”。其名词形式为development，develop的形容词有developed意为“发达的”，developing意为“发展中的”。
(3)independence不可数名词，意为“独立”，形容词为independent，意为“独立的”。
(4) look after＝take care of 意为“照顾，照料”。
3．The earlier kids learn to be independent，the better it is for their future.孩子们越早学会独立，对他们的未来越好。
the earlier…，the better…意为“越早……，……越好”，其结构为“the＋比较级，the＋比较级”，意为“越……，就越……”，表示一方随另一方程度的变化而变化。the用在形容词或副词的比较级前。
4．Since they live in one house with their parents，they should know that everyone should do their part in keeping it clean and tidy.既然他们和父母住在一起，他们应该知道每个人都应该尽自己的一份力量来保持房子的干净整洁。
since此处作连词，意为“既然”，用来陈述原因或理由，引导原因状语从句，通常放在句首。do one's part in doing sth.意为“尽自己的职责做某事”。
5．It is the parents' job to provide a clean and comfortable environment at home for their children.父母的工作是为他们的孩子提供一个干净舒适的家庭环境。
It is＋n.＋to do sth.意为“做某事是……”，句中it作形式主语，真正的主语是to do sth.，此处provide作及物动词，短语有provide sth.for sb.或provide sb.with sth.意为“为某人提供某物”。
