教学内容 The unit talks about how to find the way. Where is a place How to get to the place Can you describe the route Are you familiar with the useful expressions This lesson lets students think about how to tell the way and write an invitation letter.
教学对象 The students of Grade Seven seldom contact with the writing, using the notices to collect the information and give the guidance of a student in the writing ability. So at the beginning, I ask students to go through the information about the way to a place and try to describe the way and invite friends to a party with their own words. When reading the model passage, focus on finding out what each part is about and seize the key words in the sentence and the topic sentence in paragraphs.
教学目标 Ask students to read Suzy’s invitation letter, and take notice of the information you need. Teach them to have a clear structure of writing and organize ideas Complete a passage about how to get to Suzy’s home and how to write an invitation letter.
教学策略 1. To learn to use a map to tell the way to a place. 2. Lead in the lesson by introducing the way to our school. 3. To take Suzy’s writing as an example; let students know how to write an invitation letter and how to tell the route correctly.
课前准备Know about how to get to your school. Read Part A and underline your difficulties.

Suppose your birthday is coming, what will you do for it complete the passage according to the map given. .Review the information in the book and try to think out more about her birthday. Think about what the letter is about and try to summarize. Prepare notes about their birthday parties, using the information collected before. They can refer to the useful expressions on Page 53. Write alone with the certain topic, especially learn from the model passage and pay attention to your grammar mistakes. Make students have the idea of how to write an invitation letter and tell more details. Gather the information he/she needs Review the main points of this unit. Know some detail information about her birthday. Collect more information about the later writing. Know the contents in Suzy’s letter and give a direction of the students’ own writing.
