【教学目标】

2．Know about some basic information about a newspaper such as different kinds of newspaper, different sections and a newspaper committee.
3．Develop an awareness of reading the printed newspapers.

1．Leading-in
Step 1
Play a guessing game.
Guess the topic.
To arouses’ interest and elicit the topic.
Step 2
Show some different kinds of newspapers.
Guess the names of these newspapers and pay attention to the words commonly used in newspaper titles.
To know some different kinds of newspapers.
2．While-task procedures
Step 1
Teach main parts of a newspaper.
Listen to the teacher’s instruction and get to know the new information about newspapers.
To provide students with main parts of a newspaper.
Step 2
Introduce some common sections.
Do the match.
To have a clear idea of different sections of a newspaper.
Step 3
Ask students to find out different sections in Shanghai Students’ Post.
Find out different sections in Shanghai Students’ Post.
To put newly learned knowledge into practice.
Step 4
Introduce a newspaper committee and their responsibilities.
Know about some jobs of a newspaper committee and the responsibilities.
