Dear Lingling,
I’m glad to share something about the English way of life with you.
Visiting a friend’s home is a pleasant thing. If you are invited to visit a friend, flowers or a bottle of good wine may be a good gift. If you can, hand-made cookies or cakes are also good choices. It seems that it’s not nice to go in visit with empty hands.
In London, you can enjoy various dishes from different countries. Fish and chips is traditional food. During the meals, everyone should use a fork and knife. The fork is held on the left hand while the knife is on the right hand. Don’t put them on the table after the meal. Instead, they must be placed on the plate to show you’ve finished it.
④In some public places, some behaviors are against the rules. For example, no one is allowed to take photos with a flash in art museums or churches. You mustn’t shout loudly or talk on the phones in the theaters.
⑤I hope these pieces of information may help you know our life better.
