More of Alice in Wonderland
I. Teaching aims and learning objective
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. understand the main idea and details of the text by using reading strategies(prediction, skimming and careful reading)
2. get the meaning of some key words through context.
3. choose suitable words, adverbs and conjunctions for an article.
4. write about what they think will happen to Alice next with their imagination.
II. Teaching contents
1. New words and phrases: sweet, become, enough, decide, enter, towards, forget, reach, climb, fail, a little, too … to
2. New sentences: She was too small to reach the key.

1. Pre-reading activities
Step 1 Review and Lead-in
Revision.
Students look at the pictures and describe what happened to Alice.

After listening to Para.1, answer the following two questions.

1. Read Para 2, tell which of the statements on the screen are true and which are false.

2. Compare the two ways of writing to get to know more details.

Play the video for the students to have a relax.
