【学习目标】
1．学生能继续学会下列生词及短语get on with，relation，argue，cloud，elder，instead，whatever，nervous，offer，secondly，explain，clear，并且能够根据对方的疑惑提出相应的解决方法。
2．通过阅读提高学生的阅读能力，能按要求找到相应的信息。
3．学生了解如果生活中发生了一些不尽如人意的问题，应当如何面对并理性地去解决。

Task 1
【组内小展示】
先由各小组组长带领组内成员认读单词和词组，再在整个小组内进行齐读后对词汇的用法进行归纳，并标记出发音和理解困难的单词，可及时向老师求助。采用小组内展示的方式，老师巡查学情并检测，要求学生自己出题检测。最后，板书展示内容。
【班级大展示】
1．I can read.(我会读)①带读——齐读，注意communication，proper等的发音；②通过游戏形式，如单词游戏来巩固单词的学习。
2．I can write.(我会写)①以answer quickly(抢答)的方式对词组进行中英互译；②带读——齐读；③抽测：可以用造句的方式巩固词汇的学习。
3．I can use.(我会用)①结合I can write 中的词组，总结讲解重点词汇的用法，完成I can use；②抽测：用【小试牛刀】中的练习对词汇的用法进行巩固，并以抢答的方式对答案进行核对，并进行讲解。情景导入　生成问题

Task 1　Let's read the new words and phrases.

3．I can use.(我会用)
(1)instead作副词，意为 “ 代替；反而；却 ”一般单独位于句首或句尾，作状语修饰整个句子。常搭配instead of doing sth.意为 “代替做某事”。如：
He never works, instead__ he plays all day and all night.他从不工作，却整日整夜地玩。
(2)whatever作代词，意为 “任何事物；无论如何”，引导宾语从句。如：
You may do whatever__ you want to do.你可以做你喜欢的任何事。
【拓展】whatever作连接代词，意为 “无论什么”，引导状语从句。如：Don't change your plans, whatever__ happens.无论发生什么，都不要改变你的计划。
(3)offer意为 “ 主动提出；自愿给予；提供 ”。
offer to do sth.意为 “ 主动提出做某事 ”。
offer sb.sth.(＝offer sth.to sb.) “ 给某人提供某物 ”。

(1)Sad and Thirteen has some problems. Task 1
First the students read the words and phrases in groups，then read together and sum up the usage of the words in groups and mark the difficult words in pronunciation and understanding(they can ask the teacher for help)．At last write them on the blackboard.
Task 2
First the students discuss the main idea of the article，find out the key sentence in every paragraph.And mark them in the passage.Mark the sentences they don't understand in it.

1．Fast reading.①Students read the article with the questions in 3a；②Students answer the three questions by answering quickly and know where the answers are in the text.
2．Intensive reading.Students check the answers in Task 2 and 3b，then find and mark them in the passage.
3．I can retell.Students write the key points on the blackboard and try to retell the text in English.
