The Ugly Duckling is an interesting story written by the famous writer Andersen. It is popular with people of all ages, especially the children.
Once upon a time, a mother duck had six ducklings. All of them looked happy and lovely except one of them because it was big and ugly. Everyone didn’t like him and always laughed at him. Sometimes they even bullied him. He had to run away and stayed alone most of the time. One day, he saw some beautiful white swans in the sky. He loved them so much that he dreamed of being with them some day. After a long cold winter, the ugly duckling saw the white swans again by the river. In no time he decided to swim across the river and join them.
To his surprise, he found himself turn into a beautiful white swan at last. How happy he was!
