Step 1 Lead in 1. Ask students the weather and what day today is. 2. Show students some pictures and share our feelings about them, presenting “what” and ” how”. Lead in
Step2 Task 1 （What） 1. Show students some pictures and express their feeling to them using “What”. 2. Lead students to work out the rule : the sentence structure of the exclamatory sentence with “What”. 3. Guide students give more examples. Develop Ss’ observation and summarizing abilities.
Step3 Task（How） 1. Show students some more pictures, let students express their feelings with “What” while the teacher present express with “How”. 2. Lead students to work out the rule : the sentence structure of the exclamatory sentence with “How”. 3. Guide students give more examples. 4. Sum up What + 名词短语 (+主语+谓语) ! a/an +形容词+可数名词 形容词+可数名词复数 形容词+不可数名词 How + 形容词/副词 （+主语+谓语）! To consolidate theexclamatory sentence with “What” and present the use of “How”.
Step4Task3 （distingui- sh） 1. Show students an exercise : fill in the blanks with “What (a/an)” or “How”. Help them finish it. 2. Hand out the Guided Learning Plan and let students do Exercise One. To cosolidate the sentence structure
Step5 Task4 (transfor-mation) Show students another exercise: convert the sentence with “What” to the sentence with “How”. Help them finish it. 2. Let students do Exercise Two on he Guided Learning Plan To help students use “What” and “How”to express strong feelings correctly.
Step6 Match Who can write the most sentences Ask students to work in groups of four,and write sentences to express their feelings to our school, classrooms, teachers or classmates. To consolidate the use of “What”and “How”to express their own feelings freely.
Step7Home-work Write sentences with “What ” and “How ” to express strong feelings.Students of level A: write 5 sentences;Students of level B: write at least 10 sentences;Students of level C: write at least 15 sentences.
