Step I Free talk
1. Lead-in
Good morning, boys and girls. Yesterday, one of my best friends sent me a video. Listen what she said to me and what she wanted to do.
设计意图:用一个视频引起学生的好奇心及注意力,旨在使学生们迅速进入课堂状态;同时,在free talk 中带领学生巩固操练以下词组:an old friend of mine/yours/hers/his/ours/theirs.
2. Guessing game
You know an old friend of mine is coming to visit Nanjing this May Day holiday. I recommended some places for her. I want some of you to describe the place, and others try to guess where it is.
设计意图: 激活学生已有的关于家乡南京的背景信息及知识储备,为接下来的推荐游玩地点做好语言铺垫工作。
3. Making suggestions
If she likes/enjoys/loves, what about… /why not…
设计意图:复习巩固已有的关于提出建议的语言知识,鼓励学生用多样的语言提出建议,表达观点。

Some exchange students will visit Nanjing soon. First, look at pictures and let’s know something about their hobbies and interests.

As a host, we should make guests feel at home.

设计意图:让学生在活动中掌握了目标语言,调动学生学习英语的积极性,为学生提供展示学习成果的机会。同时使学生明白拜访或招待他人时应有的礼仪。
