Do teenagers in small villages do chores at home How about the teenagers in big cities Here is a survey. We asked 4,000 teenagers in China several questions. Half of them come from big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. The others are from small villages. We made a
diagram (图表) of the result of our survey. Let's have a look at it. We found out that teenagers from small villages do more chores than those from big cities. Maybe it is because they live a harder life. Our advice to parents in big cities is that parents should give their children some chores to do. Doing chores teaches teenagers to take care of themselves.

Have you ever worked at home Maybe most of the students' answers are “no”. It's necessary to teach children the importance of doing housework at an early age.
By letting children, even as young as two years old, help with housework, parents can not only help them learn the basic life skills they will need as adults, but also make them feel like they are a necessary part of the family.
Christine M.Field, the writer of Life Skills for Kids, says it's important for parents to ask children to take part in household chores.
“When my son was about one year old, he loved to be with me when I was folding the clothes,” said Field, a full-time mother, to the newspaper. “Of course, he didn't give any help. But I would still give him towels (毛巾) to wash. Now Daniel is three years old, and he's our towel man! He feels like he is needed.”
Letting children help with tasks also gives parents time to teach them and to be close to them. Turn housework into a game. Kids will be more active to do chores if fun is part of the job.

In my opinion, children should offer to help with housework to make their homes more warmer. In fact, doing housework is good for themselves, too. First, doing chores is a good way to help children take good care of themselves. It can not only make the children healthy and strong, but also help them keep learning different skills from housework. Most importantly, they can understand their parents and help their parents by doing chores. So I think it is necessary for children to do some chores at home.
THANKS!
