教材分析
本课是北师大版《初中英语》八年级上册第六单元,话题是“侦探故事、一位侦探小说家”。本课是本单元的第一课,是一篇记叙性文章,在Get Ready部分了解了著名侦探及其所具有的优秀品质的基础上,本课主要介绍了一个侦探故事的前半部分,包括时间、地点、人物,以及事件发展的关键信息,引导学生根据推理小说的故事发展,进行推断。本课的教学设计分成两个课时,第一课时采用任务型教学模式,学生首先通过自由讨论对著名的侦探人物---柯南的看法,学习wise, truth, clue等生词。然后利用略读找出侦探故事中的三个中心人物信息的基础上,第二遍阅读获取故事的时间、地点、人物,以及事件发展的细节信息,训练学生在阅读中根据关键词直接获取信息和筛选信息的能力。读后学生根据三个关键时间的问题,完成对侦探故事的前半部分的复述任务。第二课时通过回想侦探询问的三个问题,引入本课的语法内容---疑问句转换为间接引语,通过观察和分析例句,发现并总结一般疑问句、特殊疑问句转换为间接引语的形式。通过选择引导词和补全句子的练习,进一步体会间接引语的表意功能。最后,在复述一个故事四个情节的过程中运用不同形式的间接引语,体会间接引语的语用功能。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时,学生能够:1、在语境中认读wise, truth, pass away, reappear, valuable等新词汇。2、通过阅读获取侦探故事的时间、地点、人物,以及事件发展的细节信息,完成表格内容。3、根据时间提示,简单复述侦探故事的前部分,并说出故事的谜团。
