We have already cleared out a lot of things from our bedrooms.
We have decided to each sell five things that we no longer
use.My son was quite sad at first.Although he has not played
with his old toys for a long time,he still wanted to keep them.
For example,he has owned a train and railway set since his fourth birthday,and he
played with it almost every week until he was about seven.And he did not want to
lose his toy monkey,either.He slept next to the monkey every night when he was
a child.My daughter was more understanding,although
she also felt sad to part with certain tovs

Step 1 Warming-up <3 min > 1.Greeting: T greets Ss. T holds some of Ss’ possessions and asks: How long have you had … 2.Guessing: T shows Ss some pictures that are half covered. Ss guess what are they and how long the T has kept them with: Have you had it for/since… To get Ss focused in class help Ss review what they’ve learned in last class.
Step 2 Presentation <5min> 1.Pictures: T shows Ss some pictures and present new structures: I played with it when I was young. I haven’t played with the toy bear for a while now. Then T asks Ss: Have you ever played with the toy bear In this way, T guides Ss to practice the new structure. 2.Ask&Answer: T guides some Ss to ask and answer and practice the new structure. To help Ss master new words and phrases: junior high school, play with, while, railway. Besides, helps Ss understand the new structure.
Step 3 Practice <20min> 1.Pair work : T guides Ss to work in pairs and practice: Have you ever … Yes, I have. I … .But I haven’t… for a while now. No, I haven’t. I have … . 2. Group work: T asks Ss to work in four and make a survey according to the form. Then each group has one to report the result: In my group, … has a(n)… and he/she has had it for/since… . …has a(n)… and he/she has owned it for/since… . ... .
