In China, chopsticks are used for food and a spoon is used for soup. You are expected to learn how to use chopsticks first. Remember to arrive on time or ahead of time when you are invited and you'd better take a gift especially in festivals. At the start of a meal, old people should be seated first and you should wait for the others to be all around the table before it is started. During the meal, something impolite is not allowed to be done.Don't make any noise with your chopsticks or your mouth. It's also impolite to speak with your mouth full. At the end of the meal, make sure the food in your bowl is finished. We call it "guang pan xing dong".
Follow the right manners when eating.
