一、教材分析
本课为人教版三年级上册第一单元Section B第一课时,主要学习Let’s talk和Let’s play的内容。Section B部分是第一单元的核心部分,它承接了Section A 部分问好,介绍自己I’m…的内容,在此基础上,对询问及介绍自己是谁的内容又进一步升华,使学生能够达到用多种方式介绍自己的目的。同时也为学生学习Section C Story time中 Zip 和Zoom的对话奠定基础。
二、学情分析
三年级学生,由于年龄小,又加上生性活泼好动,喜欢直观形象思维,对游戏、竞赛、画画都特别感兴趣。三年级是小学生学习英语的基础阶段,这一阶段的重要任务在于激发并保持学生学习英语的兴趣。因此,在设计课堂教学活动时一定要根据学生的情况,采用灵活多样的教学方法来吸引学生的注意。本节中,我分别采用拍手打节奏的方法新授句子,并在巩固练习时通过肢体反应活动激发学生的学习积极性,使其知识得到巩固,能力得到提升。 本课时主要学习What’s your name My name’s John.的句型结构。学生在Section A中已经学习了I’m…的表达。所以在本节课中,我还会特别注意新旧知识的衔接,使其达到良好的迁移效果。
三、教学目标
1.知识目标:
(1)会听说认读人名:John, Mike, Sarah, Chen Jie, Wu Binbin
(2)听得懂、会说、会应用句型:
--What’s your name
--My name’s John.
2.能力目标: 能够在情景中运用句型What’s your name?询问别人的姓名,用My name’s…回应别人的询问。
3.情感目标: 了解中西方国家在称呼人名上的不同习惯。
四、重难点
1.重点:英语人名的认读并会用句子My name’s...介绍自己。
2.难点: What’s your name?及其回答。
五、教学过程

III. Presentation
1.Let the Ss listen to the audio of Section B Let’s talk.
Several questions for Ss: Who is John Who is Mike What’s the teacher’s name That will make Ss to know some characters in the book.
2. Be familiar with the characters
a. Show the photos of John, Mike, Sarah, Chen Jie at first. .Then I will teach Ss names: John, Mike. Sarah Chen Jie.
b. I will ask: What’s your name Then the students will answer it one by one by using the sentence: I’m...
3. Sentences teaching
a. T: Actually, there is another answer for the question: What’s your name Do you want to know You can also answer just like this: My name’s... Then I will teach the Ss to read the sentence.
b. T will show the photo of John and ask: What’s your name? My name’s John. Same way to teach Ss My name’s Sarah. Then I will teach the sentences by a chant: What’s your name My name’s John. What’s your name My name’s Sarah.
c. Play a game:
Write down one name from the above five names and let his/her deskmates to guess.
d. Group game
I will divide the Ss into four groups and let them listen to my order carefully: One, two, three, go. Then the pair of Ss who raise their hands fastest will represent for their group to perform a dialogue. Then they can get one or two flowers for their group.
iii. Consolidation
Play a game: Pass the flower While clapping their hands, the students should pass the flower around the students. When i say stop, the one who keeps the flower will stand up and choose another student to make a self-introduction. If he or she does it well, he or she can get a flower for his or her group.
