ⅠAnalysis teaching material
1. Status and function
1) The main topic of Unit 12 is “weekend activities”. In this unit, the students will learn to talk about past events. How was you weekend What did you do last weekend Who did you play with This is a topic that is enjoyed to their weekend life. So it can raise their learning interests and improve their spoken English.
2. Teaching aims and demands
1) Knowledge Objects
In this lesson, students should master the new words “lake, beach, sheep, jump, move, stay…” how to use these sentences “How was you weekend What did you do last weekend Who did you play with ”At the same time they know how to answer these questions.
2) Ability Objects
Ask the students to make up a similar dialogue and help them to understand the dialogue better and improve the four skills. Develop their ability of thinking independently. The students can solve problem.

3) Moral Objects
In this lesson, the Ss should learn how to work with others and help each other, how to use the new words impress their own ideas during the communication.
3. Teaching important points
According to the teaching aims, I think the important points of the lesson are the new words and sentences pattern, and help the students to communicate with each other. Through the learning, Students can use those new words to express their opinions. Improve the students’ skills.
4. Teaching difficult points
I think in that lesson the difficult is the past tenses. Maybe it is difficult to master the grammar. And it is a difficult to improve their communicate ability for them.
5. Teaching aids
The teaching syllabus says that it’s necessary for teachers to use modern teaching facilities. It’s of great help to increase the class density and improve our teaching result. I will use multi-media computer and some picture to help students learn this topic. It can also make the Ss reach a better understanding of the text by making the classes lively and interesting. At the same time, it arouses the Ss’ interest in learning English.

New Syllabus Design encourages teachers to use this teaching method,That is to say, I will let the students get the better understanding of the key structures of the dialogue. I’ll give the students some tasks and arrange five kinds of activities: listening, guessing games, watching CAI, acting out dialogues and make a survey.

I request the students to study English independently and Cooperatively, Teach Ss how to develop the reading skill — skim & scan; how to communicate with others; how to learn new words; how to learn independently, let the students to learn good learning habits.
ⅣTeaching procedures
1.Warm-up
In order to let the students have a good surrounding, I will begin my class with a song to attract the students’ attention.
2. Presentation
Let the students look at the picture. And ask: what did the boy do last weekend And then use the picture to teach new words, for example, camp, badminton, fly and so on. Then, I will ask students to make dialogues. Encourage them to use different words and find out the best group.
3. Listening practice
Ask students to finish the 1b, then, I will ask them to reading this part follow the listening equipment.
4. Practice
Ask students Use their own words to retell the dialogue in the 3rd person. Practise the functional item of Supposition.
