宾语从句和定语从句
一、宾语从句
1.定义：置于动词、介词等词后面, 起宾语作用的从句叫宾语从句。宾语从句有三要素：引导词、语序、时态。
引导词 要点 举例
that 引导由陈述句变来的宾语从句, that通常可以省略 He said(that) he would like to see a film.他说他想看电影。
2.引导词
if/whether 引导由一般疑问句变来的宾语从句 He asked if/whether I would park my car under the tree. 他问我是否会将车停在树下。(原问句:Will you park your car under the tree？)
特殊疑问词 引导由特殊疑问句变来的宾语从句 Can you tell me which class you are in？ 你能告诉我你在哪个班吗？(原问句:Which class are you in )
3.语序
宾语从句要用陈述语序, 即“引导词＋主语＋谓语＋其他”(但如果疑问代词who, what或which在从句中作主语, 语序则不用变)。
时态 举例
若主句的时态是现在时或将来时, 宾语从句可根据情况用它所需要的任何时态 He says Jim was late for school yesterday.他说吉姆昨天上学迟到了。
若主句的时态是一般过去时, 从句要用相应的过去时态 He said he would come back the next day.他说他第二天回来。She asked if he had seen the dog.她问他是否看到过那条狗。
4.时态
但是当从句表达的是自然现象或客观真理时, 则无论主句是什么时态, 从句一律用一般现在时 The teacher told us (that) the earth moves around the sun. 老师告诉过我们地球是围着太阳转的。
二、定语从句
1.定义：在复合句中, 修饰某一名词或代词, 用作定语的从句叫定语从句。
2.含定语从句的复合句的结构：主句(含先行词)+ 定语从句(含关系词：that, which, who, whom, whose等。当关系词在从句中作宾语时可以省略)。其中,关系代词的选择使用见下表:

that引导定语从句时, 可以指人也可以指物, 当先行词被序数词、形容词最高级等修饰时, 其后的定语从句要用that引导 The man that wrote the book is an English professor.写这本书的人是一位英语教授。This is the best film that I have ever seen。这是我看过的最好的电影。
which引导的定语从句修饰表示物的名词, which在从句中作主语或宾语 The story which we heard yesterday is very interesting.昨天我们听到的那个故事非常有趣。That is the house in which he lived ten years ago.那就是他十年前住过的房子。
who,whom,whose引导定语从句时用于指人(whose也可以指物)。who在从句中作主语或宾语, whom作谓语动词或介词的宾语, whose作定语 He is the student who knows the answer to the question.他就是知道那个问题的答案的学生。I have many friends to whom I am going to send postcards.我有很多要寄贺卡的朋友。That's the man whose house was burnt down. 那就是那个房子被烧毁了的人。

The new school year will come and it will come along with new subjects and classes. Some people, however, wonder 16 these subjects are all necessary to study.
