Teaching Aims:
1.Knowledge Aim:
Students can listen, speak and read the new words (dog \ cat \ duck \ pig \ bear).
2.Ability Aim:
Students can describe the animals in simple sentences.
3.Emotion Aim:
Make students have successful feeling and achievement.
Key and difficult points:
1.Students can read the vocabularies and sentences correctly and use them freely in different situation.
2.Students can study in groups and cooperate skillfully. Teaching methods: Situational teaching method, game, activities etc.
Teaching aids:
Multi-media, word cards.
Teaching procedures:
Step1.Warm up:
I will introduce my friend, Old MacDonald and his farm. Divide the whole class into two groups to have a competition. If they do a good job, they will get a piece of wood for the fence of the farm. The group which finish the fence firstly will be the winner. I'll play the song--Old Mac Donald's farm. Let students guess the animals in the song.
Step2 Presentation:
Students listen, guess and act the animals on Mac Donald's farm.
T:(Mew-Mew) What’ this Yes, a cat. Can you act like a cat Look, the cat is coming. Let's say hello to the cat. Cat, cat. The cat is fat. Cat, cat, fat, fat. The cat is fat. Look at the cat. It is fat. The same way to learn other words and sentences.
Pig, pig, big, big. The pig is big.
Look at the pig. It is big.
Dog, dog, log,log. The dog is on the log.
Look at the dog. It’s on the log.
Duck, duck, truck,truck. The duck is in the truck.
Look at the duck. It’s in the truck.
Help students understand the meaning of them with my body language and PPT. After presenting each new word. I'll impart the knowledge of pronunciation rules in teaching the new words.
For example, c c /k/ , a a / / , t t /t/ /k t/. Purpose: It can help the students understand the language easily and naturally.
Step3 Practice:
Activity1.Can you act Let students act these animals. Then play the game-- Magic fingers.
Activity 2.Guess the animals.

T: Listen, who is coming Guess. A bear Maybe. All the animals are afraid. What can they do Run away Hide They want to hide in their houses. Can you help them At the same time, tell the students. we should show our loveliness to the animals. At last, the bear is coming. But it can't find any animals.
T: Listen, who is coming now Old Mac Donald He shot the bear. The bear is down. Where is it It's on a pear. Look at the bear. It’s on the pear.
Activity 3.Can you say Let students talk about these animals.
Activity 4. Let’s chant After that the students can chant together about the story.
Activity 5.Helping the animals to find the right house.
Step4 Consolidation.
Let students design a farm, then choose the number to fill in the blanks. Try to talk about these animals at your farm.
Step5 Homework:
1.Listen, read and speak the new words.
2.Tell the story to your friends .(chant)
3.Draw your own farm, show it to your presents.
Tell them the animals on your farm.
教学反思:
在新课程标准下的小学英语教学中,教师要培养和保持学生较浓的学习兴趣,应该把握良机,渲染英语课堂气氛,引发学生的兴趣和求知欲;充分研究教材,认真备课,在各教学环节中增加趣味性;注重“以人为本”,发挥学生主体作用;建立新型师生关系,重视师生情感交流,培养兴趣;开展内容广泛、形式多样的英语课外活动等。通过多种手段激发学生实践的热情,加强对学生学习英语的兴趣的培养,让学生变兴趣为参与实践的动力,为语言实践活动提供源源不断的动力。
一、把握良机,渲染英语课堂气氛,创造一个轻松愉快的学习环境,引发学生的兴趣和求知欲。
小学生这个年龄的特点是:爱说爱动,自我约束、自我控制能力不强,如果教学中忽视这些特点,单纯沿用传统教学模式,使用传统教学方法进行机械地讲解,把他们纯粹当成知识的容纳器,填鸭式地问他们灌输在他们眼中枯燥无味,冷冰冰的语法、词汇,他们便不感兴趣,因而也就谈不上学习的积极性和主动性。目前,小学英语教学质量不佳,恐怕这是一个主要原因。学习需要兴趣。就某种意义上讲,学英语就更需要兴趣。如何激发学生的学习兴趣,并保持它,使之成为他们学习的动力,正是趣味教学考虑的出发点。
二、充分钻研教材,认真备课,在各教学环节中增加趣味性。 教师对学习材料和内容的处理,一般是由易到难,逐步深入,同时要考虑到对学生学习兴趣的一定刺激程度,使学生的思想始终处于积极状态,使他们的兴趣逐步升级。其次增加教学环节中的趣味性,教学手段的多样化也有助于使学生的兴趣得以保持。用生动的形象、真实的画面、优美动人的语言和音乐,来丰富学生的想象力,刺激学生的兴趣和求知欲,增强学生的记忆效果,从而实现教学目标,达到教学目的。
