Lesson 16 Cars and Buses
一.本课设计意图:
本节课以Jenny如何去某地为基本素材,进行关于以乘坐某种交通工具为内容的问答训练,学完本课学生能够询问出行方式及应答,并能就此话题自由交谈。在此基础将教学内容进行适当的扩展和延伸,如三单的扩展。
二.Teaching objectives:
1. Knowledge objectives:
①学生能够听懂、会说、能读、会写以下单词: bus, car, bike,taxi,twenty-thirty.
②学生能够听懂、会说、读出以下单词、短语和使用句型: zoo,restaurant,home;go to school;I go to school by....
③ 重点句型:
How do you go to... I go to ... by car / by bike / by bus /by taxi..
2. Ability objectives:
在本课结束时,学生应该能够:
①熟读课文并且能够表述自己如何使用不同的方式去不同的地方。
②能够从会读、会写两个方面明白询问句型"How do you go to …
③使用句型“How do you go to school I go to school by car /by bike/by bus. ”来和其他人谈论如何去不同的地方。
3.语言技能目标:教师创设情境,学生在情境中学语言,学生能运用所学语言进行交际的能力。
4.情感态度目标:激发他们学习的主动性,培养学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生参与合作的意识,通过学习和交流, 提高学生的实际生活能力。
5.学习策略目标:课上通过小组合作,师生互动、游戏操练等形式,让学生完成听、说、读、写的技能训练。使学生能够灵活运用本课对话、培养学生实践、创新和自主探究学习的能力,并提高学生语言的实际运用能力。
6. Focus of the lesson:
①How to write the numbers correctly and understanding the dialogue as a whole;
②Role playing the dialogue with the right pronunciation, intonation and sentence stress.
A: How do you go to ... B :I go to …by car /by bike/by bus/by taxi.
7.Predicted area of difficulty:
①Students can use"by”correctly.
②Role playing the dialogue
A: How does he/she go to school B :He/ She goes to school … .

四、Teaching Procedures:
Step I : Greeting
StepII: Warming up and revision.
T: Let’s play a game “ Look and say,go,go,go ”, please read the phrases.( go to…)
(PPT) Then show the phrases,Ss stand up and read them.
设计意图:用游戏复习本课将要用到的地点名称,调动学生的学习积极性,活跃了课堂气氛,很快的地把学生融入了英语学习的氛围。
StepIII: Presentation
Jenny’s Day.
(PPT) Show a picture of Jenny, Jenny will go to four places,let’s go with her.Try your best,you can get a card.
1. T: Show a bike.Can you say more transportation
The Ss can learn bike,bus and car.They will read it in different ways.Learn the word “car” with the pronunciation,Ss say some words like “far,art,star,part”,try to read some new words.
T:What’s this It’s a “taxi\cab”.Then let’s make some other words.You are so clever. Listen to the sound,they can learn “plane\jet”.
设计意图:学生通过图片和声音说出交通工具名称,增加了学生学习英语的兴趣;把音标教学渗透到课堂中。
2.T:I go to school by taxi,what about you
The Ss look at the pictures and they can understand the meaning of “I go to school by…”, then try to make some sentences.
3.Let’s talk “I go to ___ by ___.”
设计意图:让学生尝试用完整的句子表达意思,同时注重发散学生思维,“I go to ___ by ___.” 的用法也在说句型的同时得以掌握。
(Who gets the cars Read the numbers)
设计意图:第一次总结卡片。通过奖励卡片的形式,增加了学生学习英语的欲望,卡片后面的数字单词1-20,为后面的数字学习做铺垫。
4.T: I want to know “How does Jenny go to school ”,I should say “How do you go to school”.Write the sentences on the blackboard.Ss read the sentences in different ways.
设计意图:学生通过和提前录制的语音对话,增加了学生的学习兴趣。
5.(PPT)Pair work.Ss make a dialog with the pictures.
A:How do you go to school
B:I go to school by… .
T: Jenny goes to the zoo by taxi.Look here! She sees some balloons.Can you read the numbers on the balloons (one-nineteen),then they can learn “twenty,twenty-one,twenty-two”,Try to write the numbers on the paper.
设计意图:让学生读气球上的数字,避免了单纯读数字的厌烦,让数字也“活”了起来;通过一个数学题,引出数字30,学生很感兴趣。
5. Chant and exercise:
设计意图:通过chant的形式练习,使学生们用这种轻松愉快的方式较快的巩固复习所学数字单词。

设计意图:第二次总结卡片。请学生读出公交车上的数字,使英语学习与实际生活相结合。
6.T: Jenny is hungry,where is she going
Show three words,ask the Ss choose “restaurant”,read the words.
(PPT)Fill in the blanks.

I go to the _____ by _____.
设计意图:通过填空形式的练习,让知识点简单化。
7.Match and say:Ss choose the best way to go some places.Then practice in pairs.
(Who gets the taxies,read the numbers 20-30)
设计意图:通过地点单词和交通工具的单词,让学生进行连线选择,增加了练习的趣味性,让知识点简单化,辅助对话练习。最后总结去同样的地方也可以选择不同的方式。在条件允许的前提下,我们应该选择更健康更利于环境保护的方式,为结尾的主题升华做铺垫。本环节的结尾是第三次卡片的总结,让学生进一步巩固数字。

设计意图:Guessing game练习句型,有利于进一步巩固,激发学生的学习兴趣。
