Unit11 I like the Spring Festival best
一、教学目标:
1. 语言知识目标:
(1)能在语境中学习、理解、运用词汇:each other, gift, lucky ,lucky money, wish, jiaozi ,
(2)在语境中学习、理解、运用动词短语:clean their houses/buy new clothes/make everything new and fresh/give children lucky money/visit... family/have a big dinner/wish sb sth
(3)拓展与春节相关的动词短语:go to flower fairs/ watch dragon dance and lion dance/set off fireworks
2.语言技能目标:能利用板书思维导图正确运用核心语言来描述介绍春节。
3.情感态度目标:
通过参与课堂活动,提高英语的学习兴趣和能力。唤起学生民族自豪感,传承中国优良的传统文化,培养学生关怀和感恩的品质。
4.学习策略目标:
(1)通过参与课堂活动,在观察、聆听中提取信息和习得语言。
(2)培养积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务。
(3)在运用语言中学会表达,培养说话的连贯性和逻辑思维能力。
二、学习者特征分析:
本课的教学对象是六年级学生,对于已经具备了五年英语学习基础的孩子来说,这一单元内容的学习相对比较简单,学生在听、说、读、写等各方面都有了一定的积累,掌握了一定的学习方法,具备一定的预习和自习能力,单词可以在预习的过程中自己完成。对话的内容也比较生活化,所以更易让孩子们接受。本班学生具有一定英语口语表达能力和开口说的欲望,因此,在教学过程中我通过多媒体课件和微课创设语言环境,引导学生用所学的知识完成任务,解决问题。
三、教学过程:
I.Warming Up
1. Group show: The story of “Nian”.
旁白:The Spring Festival is also called the Chinese New Year. In Chinese, the word for New Year is “Guo Nian”
Long time ago, there lived a beast called “Nian”. At the end of the year, “Nian”came out and ate people.
(其他人叫喊help-----)
年兽:(装出吃人后舔嘴巴的样子,发出哈哈奸笑。)
旁白:It was the last day of the year, an old man met a woman.
妇女: “Run away with me! Nian is coming soon.”
老人: “Don’t be afraid. Nian will never come again.”
旁白: “Nian” run into the village. He found red papers on the gates of people’s houses. He heard the sound of fireworks. He was afraid of the colour red and the sound of fireworks. At this time, the old man, who was wearing red clothes came out of the house.(老人指着年兽并嘲笑它) Nian was so scared and ran away.
The year after, people like to put the red paper on the gates, set off fireworks and wear red clothes.
【通过小组表演有关春节传说中年兽的故事,生动有趣而又自然引出本课春节话题。同时创设英语学习氛围,激发学生学习兴趣。】
2. Answer the question. 【检测学生观看效果,同时动员学生通过抽红包抢积分这样的评价方式来激发学生参与课堂的积极性。】
II. Leading-in
1. Watch a video and find out what festival it is.
【设置悬念,让学生先观看一个介绍春节的英文短片,展示今天的学习内容,出示课题。同时勾起学生对春节的回忆,创设春节节日气氛和情景并为下面的教学做铺垫。】
2. Try to be the ambassadors of Chinese Culture Communication of Liuhualu Primary School.
【教师创设争当“流花路小学中华文化传播大使”利用“流花路广播站”向同学们介绍春节的情景,激发学生学习欲望并为完成下面的学习任务做铺垫。】
III. Input
Round 1: Learn the dialogue of U11.
1. Learn the new words.
【导学案中要求自学新词,学生先在小组内检测自己的朗读发音是否准确,然后全班朗读并再次强化新词的形、音、义。】
2. Watch the video and choose T or F according to the dialogue.
【解决有关课文理解问题,小组内先自检导学案这部分答案,要求知道错在哪里并能改正,然后选一组展示核对过程。】
3. Answer the questions according to the dialogue. Finish the mind map on the blackboard. Then learn the phrases with actions.
【进一步将课文内容梳理归纳出春节前与期间的不同活动内容以及节日的时间、天气和特别食物。同时将长句进行分解教授,学生更容易理解和上口。教师板书活动短语时结合肢体语言呈现,为后面的读演做铺垫准备。】
4. Read and practice the dialogue in groups, then act it out.
【考虑到课文内容较长,所以第一次模仿跟读,第二次小组合作演“流花路小学中华文化传播大使”回答米奇有关春节的问题,将教材进行整合和梳理,有的组员负责问答,有的负责演,从模仿到小组合作问答演,增加语言输入的“重现率”,体现学生习得语言的过程。教师注意对学生进行表演的指导。】
Round 2: Know more about the Spring Festival
1. Read a picture book.
【将有关春节的英语绘本带进课堂,增加对中国传统节日春节的感性认识,让学生进一步了解春节并培养学生阅读能力和习惯。为下面语言输出做铺垫。】【使用微课】
2. Read and write.
【利用文本重构让学生阅读有关春节的文本,补充有关春节的文本,让学生进一步深入了解除课文对话以外的人们的节日活动,利用这个环节让学生关注这些活动的文字表达,拓展go to flower fairs, watch dragon dance and lion dance,set off fireworks并板书,为下面语言输出做铺垫。为照顾不同层次的学生,教师将练习分成必做与选做两题。通过独立阅读培养学生对文本的进一步理解能力、小组内的自我检查和自我校准能力。】

The Spring Festival
The Spring Festival is the Chinese New Year. There is a name for each year. We may call it the year of the tiger, the year of the monkey or the rabbit. 2019 is the year of the pig. Before the Spring Festival, people go shopping and clean their houses. And people go to flower fairs and put orange trees in their houses. On New Year’s Eve(年三十), there is a big family dinner. After dinner, people watch the CCTV Spring Festival evening show to welcome the New Year. On the first day of the New Year, people put on their new clothes and go to visit their families. They wish each other a happy Spring Festival. People also watch dragon dance and lion dance at the Spring Festival. All the people enjoy the Spring Festival.
