二．学情分析
本节课的教学对象是小学五年级学生，他们经过两年半的英语学习，有了一定得逻辑思维能力，敢于表达，英语学习兴趣浓厚，有良好的学习能力。加上五年级大部分学生思维活跃，乐于表达自己，本单元是这册书的最后一个单元，比较之前第一次出现大篇幅文章的阅读形式，教学内容涉及到描述春节风俗习惯，这对学生来说也是一个挑战，但学生已经在四年级学过spring, festival, lion, dance, family, dinner, red等单词，加上这个班是自己一直带上来的班级，基础很不错，这堂课上运用了阅读策略化繁为简，降低了难度，相信大部分学生应该可以描述春节的习俗。
3．教学目标
（1）语言能力目标
1. 能掌握中国传统节日------春节的风俗表达方法；能听说认读eve of the Spring Festival;a family reunion dinner;firecrackers;red packet;lion dance;等词汇和短语。
2. 能听懂、理解A部分的内容。
（2）学习能力目标
通过学习语篇，学生能掌握阅读基础技巧，能利用图片帮助理解文本意义。
（3）思维品质目标
1. 培养学生通过板书的鱼骨图复述课文，形成自主思考及发散性思维能力；
2. 通过读图，培养学生的预测能力，促进思维品质的发展。
（4）文化品格目标
通过本单元的学习，热爱我们的中国传统节日，弘扬中国文化，热爱我们的祖国。
4．教学重点、难点
教学重点：
1. 能在老师问题及图片帮助下读懂文章。
2. 掌握B部分单词，并能在图片帮助下用自己语言复述文章大意。
教学难点
掌握谈论节日所涉及到的基本元素。
