Unit 8 We shouldn’t waste water.第一课时教学设计
一、教材分析:
本课的教学内容选自湘少版《小学英语》六年级上册Unit 8 We shouldn’t waste water.中的第一课时。本课时的学习内容为课文Part A和Part B,目的在于让学生运用本单元的词汇和句型进行口语交际。涉及的单词有should, shouldn’t, waste, blouse, enough, save, drop, fresh,还要掌握keep the rivers clean , keep the air clean and fresh, plant more trees, use bikes instead of cars, waste water, litter, kill wild animals等词组。主要句型是:We should… . We shouldn’t… . 本节课主要从学生感兴趣的环保话题出发,鼓励学生积极参与,大胆练习,激发学生学习英语的积极性,提高学生的语言综合运用能力。
二、学情分析:
六年级的学生通过三年的英语学习,已具备了一定的语言基础和良好的口语表达能力,但随着知识点难度的加大,兴趣逐渐减弱,说写能力还有待加强。加上本学期教材已经改版,而这一届学生又没有用过改版的五年级教材,加上新单词和词组相当多,所以学生学习起来还是有一定难度的。另外,小学生喜欢直观形象思维,善于与同学交流,乐于表达自己,渴望得到同学和老师的赞许。
三、教学目标:
知识与技能:
(1)学生能熟练认读本单元8个重点单词:should, shouldn’t, waste, blouse, enough, save, drop, fresh和7个重点词组:keep the rivers clean , keep the air clean and fresh, plant more trees, use bikes instead of cars, waste water, litter, kill wild animals,做到发音准确清晰,并能听懂其含义;
(2)学生能熟练地运用重点句型We should… . We shouldn’t… .进行情景对话。
(3)学习本课对话,并能正确理解和运用。
过程与方法:
(1)通过师生说和自主体验交际式英语教学的一般过程,掌握英语听说的基本方法;
(2)仔细倾听老师和同学的发言,用英语表达和与同学交流;
(3)采用视听法、听说法、任务型活动教学法及交际法,创设各种真实的语言环境,以学生参与、体验的形式,来激发学生对英语学习的兴趣,调动学生学习英语的积极性。
3. 情感、态度与价值观:
(1)增强学生的参与意识,培养学生团队合作意识和团队合作精神,引导学生积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务;
(2)通过本课的学习,让学生了解环保的重要性,培养学生热爱大自然的积极情感,并能自觉地保护地球。
四、教学重、难点:
1.教学重点:识记重点单词和词组。
2.教学难点:运用所学句型告知他人应该做什么或者不应该做什么。
五、教学策略
为了突破这堂课的重、难点,根据小学生好奇、好胜、好动、模仿力强、表现欲旺盛等生理和心理特点,我主要采取了以下教法和学法。
1.小组活动学习法
把全班分成二个大组(男女同学各为一组),男同学为地球妈妈植树,女同学为地球妈妈节约每一滴水,既有竟争,又有合作,最后通过努力让地球妈妈重新笑起来。课堂各项教学活动均以小组活动为主线,结对或全班活动为辅,学生互相交流、探究,共同完成学习任务,在合作中感受学习英语的乐趣及交流的意义,也通过小组成员之间“荣辱与共”的关系而形成同步学习的环境。
2.情境教学法
给学生不断创设各种真实的场景,促使学生说英语,用英语。
3.全身动作反应法
我在教学重点词组时全部要求学生用动作进行表演,倡导体验式参与。
4.课堂评价主要以鼓励性评价为主。
课上恰当使用激励性评语和奖励个人贴画的方法,让学生渴望成功的心理得到满足,这也是激励学生积极投身英语学习的一个最简单而有效的方法。老师操作起来也比较方便。
六、教学准备
CAI课件,地球模型,水滴贴画,小树贴画,词组卡片,单词卡片。
七、教学步骤
Step Ⅰ Preparation
1. Greetings.
2. Enjoy a short film.
Try to answer: What can you see in the film
Ask several students to answer.
【设计意图】在热身的时候,我直接让学生带着问题What can you see in the film 观看视频,感受大自然的美丽,渲染了学生学习英语的良好气氛。视频看完后,请学生用以前学习过的单词及句型I can see….回答问题What can you see in the film 这样不仅复习了旧知识,而且提高了学生的自信心。
Step Ⅱ Presentation and drill
1.T: Yes, there are many beautiful things on the earth. We should love them .We should do something for the earth.

2. Teach the new words and phrases.
(1) (CAI)There are clean rivers in the world. We should keep the rivers clean.

(2) (CAI)There is the air in the world. We should keep the air clean and fresh.

(3) (CAI)There are trees in the world. We should plant more tree.

(4) (CAI)There are many cars in the world. We should use bikes instead of cars.

(5)T: But recently, our Mother Earth is not happy, she is very sad. (Take out the model earth) Because people do many bad things to her. We shouldn’t do these things .

(6)T: We should plant more trees for her. We should save every drop of water.

(7)T: We should save every drop of water. We shouldn’t waste water.(CAI)

(8)T: There aren’t enough wild animals in the world. We shouldn’t kill the wild animals.(CAI)

(9) Let’s play a game: Do and Say
(10)Read the phrases after the teacher.
【设计意图】新课标提倡采用活动途径,倡导体验式参与。我在教学这一单元的复杂词组时,全部要学生配以动作进行表演,采用“全身动作反应法”(TPR)让学生听听做做,刺激大脑皮层进一步激活记忆巩固知识,接下来,我用游戏“我做你说”或“我说你做”来进行巩固,然后两人一组进行操练,他们兴趣盎然,个个跃跃欲试,很快掌握了这些词组。

(4) Read the sentences after the teacher.
(5)Game: Say more sentences with “should’ and “shouldn’t”.
【设计意图】在学完书本上的句子之后,为了启发学生思维,整合新旧知识,我设计了用“should”和“shouldn’t”说说生活中其他应该做和不应该做的事情,学生思路大开,将自己原来学的知识和在课外学的知识统统运用进来了,产生了许多生成性语言。
Step Ⅲ Practice
1.Create a situation. (CAI Show a dirty blouse)
T: Look, what’s this It’s a blouse. It’s Lily’s blouse.
It’s dirty now. Lily wants to wash it. What will happen Please listen carefully.
2.Listen and answer.
Is there enough water in the world
3.Read after the tape.
4.Read after the teacher.
5.Read it in different roles.
6.Read it together.
【设计意图】在新课文导入之前,我用CAI出示一件脏女式短上衣,用“What will happen ”过渡到课文的学习,然后带着问题“Is there enough water on the earth ”去听课文。问句清晰直接, 有连续性, 达到了训练学生语言和思维的双重目的。接下来反复听读课文,分角色朗读课文,然后表演对话,学生很快掌握了课文内容,培养了学生的听说能力。
Step Ⅳ Production
1.Fill in the blanks with “should” and “shouldn’t”.

We kill wild animals.

We use bikes instead of cars.

【设计意图】这个题目可以让学生熟练地掌握should和shouldn’t的含义及用法,也可以让学生巩固和复习已经学过的词组。

【设计意图】课文学完后,我设计了一个写一写的活动,既巩固了新知,又进行了简单的拓展,也照顾到了学生的个体差异性。我个人认为,课堂上的一切活动设计要考虑活动的目的性、高效性、层次性、趣味性,这样的课堂活动才是有效的。课堂上并不是游戏越多越好,游戏是要为英语教学服务的,而不单纯只是追求新颖,热闹。
