一、教学目标
语言知识目标：
1. 学生能听、说、认读单词及短语wheat, mill, cross, deep, just up, cross
2. 学生能正确、流利地朗读故事。
语言技能目标：
1. 能在图片提示下听懂故事。
2. 能借助阅读策略读懂故事。
3.创编故事、大胆用英语表达和交流
情感态度目标：
1. 积极参与合作学习，体会故事阅读的乐趣。
2. 到问题大胆求助，勇于通过各种途径解决问题。
二、教学重、难点
教学重点：
1.掌握生词、句子，了解故事大意并能准确流利地朗读；
2.能借助阅读策略读懂故事。
教学难点：
1.学生通过自学互学环节,培养学生自主探究勇于探索的精神。
2.小组合作创编并表演故事。

多媒体课件，单词卡片
四、教学过程
Step I Warm up
1. Greeting师生问候
2. Look and say通过游戏复习词语。
3. Talk show 口秀表演
设计意图：激发学生兴趣，对旧知进行复习，让学生任意扮演马，奶牛或松鼠进行课前口语脱口秀表演，让学生进行热身的同时为文本故事的学习做好铺垫。
Step II Presentation
1. Questions to guide问题导学
Indeed, the horse, the cow and the squirrel are very different. Here’s a story of them, let’s listen and think: what are they talking about
设计意图：学生带着问题听文本，初步感知对话内容。
2. 自学、互学 Self-study and Learn each other
（1）Self-study（自学探究）
学生默读课文并圈出不会的单词。
学习策略Tip1: 借助图片、联系上下文理解文本。
学习策略Tip2: 借助自然拼读、迷你词典等方式学习新知。
（2）Group work (互学)
A. Learn with each other互学
学习策略Tip3: 通过组员互助、学习机点读、求助现场教师等方式学习新知。
B. Report in groups.合作学习展示（齐读，分角色，开火车等等）。
设计意图：开展学生个体自学和组长带领下同伴互助的教学活动，同时开展分层教学，培养学生自主学习能力和解决问题的能力。
Step III Practice
1.Let’s judge（判断正误）
The Baby horse is going to the mill. ( )
The river is very deep for cow. ( )
The river is not deep at all for squirrel. ( )
The river is deep for baby horse. ( )
设计意图：通过判断正误，检查学生是否能正确理解对话内容。
2. Main structure sentences.
Guide map(思维导图): What to do (去做什么)—How to do (怎样去做) — some opinions (别人的建议) — think and try(思考并尝试)
Horse mother: Take this bag of wheat to the mill.
Baby horse: All right. Can I cross the river
Aunt cow: Sure, It’s not deep at all.
Squirrel: No, you can’t. It’s very deep.
Horse mother: Go to the river and have a try.
Baby horse: Aha, I can cross the river.
设计意图：以思维导图的形式梳理故事内容，建构故事文本框架，为学生运用已学知识表演和创编故事搭建脚手架。

Step IV Extension 拓展延伸
小组合作创编并展示
小组选择故事文本，或按照思维导图选择日常生活中的其它主题（衣服、食物、旅行…），创编对话，进行表演。
设计意图：让学生展开想象，小组合作创演，每一个孩子都能亲身体验并参与其中，培养学生创造性思维和口头表达能力，让学生在互助互学中共同进步，乐于展示，感受英语学习的乐趣。
